ASTM G 154 UV Weathering Accelerated Ageing Test Equipment Environmental Test Chamber
The UV Weatherproof Test Chamber is designed and manufactured according to the standard requirements of ISO 4892-82, ASTM G 154, ISO 4892-3; ISO 11507; ASTMD 4329, and etc.
This product is suitable for the fluorescent ultraviolet lamp method in the light source exposure method of various materials laboratory, mainly for the changes of materials placed outdoors, and the durability test of new materials and improved formulations and products.
The product adopts fluorescent ultraviolet lamps that can best simulate the UV spectrum in sunlight, and combines temperature control, humidity supply and other devices to simulate sunlight ( UV segment) high temperature, high humidity, condensation, dark cycle and other factors, and through the synergistic effect between ultraviolet light and moisture, the light resistance or moisture resistance of the material is weakened or invalid, so it is widely used in the evaluation of weather resistance of materials.
Features:
UV weathering accelerated aging test equipment is used to simulate the effects of sunlight and ultraviolet (UV) radiation on materials and products. This type of testing helps assess the durability, colorfastness, and performance of materials exposed to outdoor conditions over an extended period. Several equipment options are available for conducting UV weathering accelerated aging tests, including:
UV Weathering Chambers: These chambers create an environment that
replicates the damaging effects of sunlight by exposing test
samples to controlled levels of UV radiation. The chambers
typically incorporate UV lamps or xenon arc lamps that emit UV rays
similar to natural sunlight. The samples are placed inside the
chamber and exposed to the UV radiation for a predetermined
duration.
Xenon Arc Testers: Xenon arc testers use xenon arc lamps to
simulate sunlight exposure. These lamps emit a broad spectrum of
light, including UV, visible, and infrared wavelengths. The test
samples are exposed to the xenon arc light source, and the
equipment allows for control of parameters such as light intensity,
temperature, and humidity to create specific testing conditions.
Fluorescent UV Testers: Fluorescent UV testers use fluorescent
lamps that emit UV radiation to simulate sunlight exposure. These
lamps produce UV rays in the UVA and UVB range, which are
particularly responsible for material degradation. The equipment
allows for precise control of parameters such as light intensity,
temperature, and humidity.
Carbon Arc Testers: Carbon arc testers utilize carbon arc lamps to
simulate outdoor weathering conditions. These lamps produce an
intense arc that emits UV radiation and heat. The test samples are
exposed to the carbon arc light source, and the equipment allows
for control of parameters such as arc intensity, exposure time, and
temperature.
Solar Concentrators: Solar concentrators use parabolic mirrors or
lenses to focus sunlight onto test samples, thereby intensifying
the UV radiation exposure. These concentrators allow for
accelerated testing by magnifying the effects of sunlight. The
equipment typically incorporates tracking systems to ensure optimal
positioning of the samples with respect to the sun's movement.
Data Acquisition and Monitoring Systems: UV weathering test
equipment often includes data acquisition and monitoring systems to
record parameters such as UV intensity, temperature, humidity, and
exposure time. These systems enable precise control and measurement
of testing conditions, as well as the collection of data for
analysis and comparison.
When conducting UV weathering accelerated aging tests, it is
important to follow relevant standards and specifications, such as
ASTM G155 or ISO 4892, which provide specific test methods,
exposure cycles, and acceptance criteria. These standards help
ensure consistent and reliable test results.

Precautions:
The machine should be stored in a ventilated, clean and dry place. The casing is kept clean and dry.
After the equipment is used normally, pay attention to the cleanliness of the surface of the lamp used to prevent the irradiance of the lamp and the service life of the lamp from being affected. If there is any pollution, use alcohol to wipe the surface. When the service life of the lamp tube expires, the lamp tube must be replaced on time.
Water tank maintenance: Use pure water and replace the water once a week. If it is not used for a long time, the water in the water tank should be drained.
Sink maintenance: keep the sink clean and dry when not in use.
